When Calgary's Top 7 Over 70 Awards were announced last fall, everything was low-key because of the pandemic. In May 2022, the gala awards dinner was finally held, and I had the opportunity to meet my fellow honourees and learn about the significance of their contributions. It is very humbling to be in this group and look forward to following the impact of their work in the future.
Thanks to the generosity of many people, over $1 million CAD* has been raised (and distributed) to support studies of nutrient treatment of mental health problems.
This 4-minute video shows the human side of micronutrient treatment, explaining why so many of us are committed to exploring the role of nutrition for improving mood regulation and mental health.
This particular video was made by Dr. Jeni Johnstone, principal investigator at Oregon Health & Science University, the central site of the MADDY (Micronutrients in ADD Youth) trial.
